Dynamic Island creates new ways to interact with iPhone, featuring a design that enables it to adapt in real time to display important notifications, apps and activities. The TrueDepth camera has been redesigned to take up less of the screen's surface. Without obstructing screen content, Dynamic Island maintains an active state to allow users easier access to controls with a simple tap and hold.

Photonic Engine

iPhone 14 Pro features a Photonic Engine that ensures better photos in medium and low light, for all cameras through hardware and software. More specifically up to 2x on the main camera, up to 3x on the Ultra Wide camera, up to 2x on the telephoto camera and up to 2x on the TrueDepth camera. The Photonic Engine enables this increase in quality by applying Deep Fusion earlier in the imaging process to provide excellent detail and preserve fine textures, deliver better color and retain more information in a photo.

New camera system

The Pro series features a new 48MP main camera with a four-pixel sensor and second-generation sensor-shift optical image stabilization. For most photos, the quad-pixel sensor combines every four pixels into a large quad-pixel equivalent to 2.44µm, resulting in great low-light shooting and keeping the photo size at 12MP. It also has a telephoto lens for 4K photos and videos. It also uses a new machine learning model specifically designed to shoot ProRAW at 48MP with a high level of image detail.

With a new TrueDepth front camera with ƒ/1.9 aperture that enables better low-light performance for photos and videos. Using autofocus for the first time, it can focus even faster in low-light conditions and take group shots from a greater distance.

The A16 processor has 6 cores and a 5-core GPU with 50 percent more memory bandwidth, which is ideal for games and applications. It is also equipped with a new 16-core Neural Engine, capable of almost 17 trillion operations per second. Using Apple's fusion architecture to combine performance and power saving, the chip delivers high performance.
